Raynor Door Authority of Rockford is looking to hire Commercial Installation Technicians to join the team. We are a community-oriented company that specializes in commercial garage doors, residential garage doors and dock equipment. Experience if preferred but not necessary. WE WILL TRAIN.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • INSTALLATIONS: Install new garage door systems, operators, and other products in both residential and commercial settings.
  • SERVICE: Diagnose and repair problems that may arise with customers’ garage doors. Be a problem solver.
  • TIMELINESS: Show up on time and ready to work.
  • RECORD KEEPING: Document your work, the parts used, and the time spent on the job in our internal database upon completion of a job.
  • TEAMWORK: Be a team player. Many of our jobs require more than one technician to get the job done. You must be able to work well with others.
  • SAFETY: Be an active proponent of safety, this means not taking risks, participating in our weekly safety meetings, and keeping an organized workspace to avoid trips and falls. Your safety and wellbeing are our top priorities.

Job Requirements

  • Willingness to be trained, mechanically inclined.
  • Must have good customer service skills.
  • The best candidate is confident and self-motivated, has great listening skills, a desire to build strong relationships, have great technical and mechanical skills and a strong desire to do the job right the first time.
  • *Automatic Gate experience a plus.
  • Individual must be mature, honest, and organized.
  • Can work independently and pay close attention to details.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Perform physical demands such as, but not limited to: Reaching above shoulders, climbing ladders, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, working at elevated heights, working outdoors and the ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
  • Must be able to use hand tools, power tools and measuring devices.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • **Must pass background check.
  • A detail-oriented person who takes pride in their work.
  • A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work in Illinois climate, both in and out of doors.
